Handmade Ornaments this Year!

Each year, starting about five years ago, I give the kids each a new ornament for the Christmas tree. When they are ready to start their new homes, they will each have a nice collection that will hopefully bring back fond memories to take with them. This year, I had the inspiration at midnight the night before Christmas Eve to make these santa fish. Nothing like leaving things to the last minute...

Inchies

Inchies are the art quilters equivalent of ATC'S (art trading cards). You use any fabric, trim, ribbon or button scraps you have laying around to create 1 inch by 1 inch art quilts or "inchies". Here are my first two.

Sunday 4/30: Two from the Road!

Living in the East, I sometimes forget I LIKE pimiento cheese sandwiches... even those that come out of a refrigerated case in a gas station!



I love Jeff's camera! It can capture architectural moments as they pass by at 60 mph. I am most drawn to architectural photography. I love intense contrast and simple lines.

Experimenting...

I had big plans to take lots of photos tonight. I put a new battery in my camera and went out in the freezing cold and got to take about nine photos before the battery died. Hmmph! This was the best of the nine photos. The lights are a weird orange flourescent so the whole picture had an orange glow. I tried to tone it down a bit. Anyway, this is a park that is walking distance from my house. I'll probably try photos there again and perhaps bring an extra battery pack.
