To Truly Love a Dog....

The Culprit
(you've seen this photo before)

His personal lounge, better known as our front hallway...

The vacuum that I spent over an hour with an unwound wire hanger unclogging only to find that the clog was none other than a ball of Zach's fur...

The head of the vacuum which has been broken for at least a year retreating in shame over it's lack of usefulness and the dirt receptacle full of mostly Zach's hair after only one day of vacuuming the hallway and downstairs...
Do you realize how long it takes to vacuum a hallway and stairs with only the wand??? let alone the rest of the house?

The Desired: Miele Vacuum S514i Electro
A powerful mid-size canister with powerbrush. My friend who lives on a farm has two Miele vacuums and swears by them... with five boys and all the debris that comes from living on a dairy farm, I'd love to take her advice...

For $649, donations kindly accepted.

So, I am back. I wasn't on media blackout the whole time but I it's hard to get around to updating all of my blogs since i don't have my own laptop anymore... perhaps I'll do a series of my dead beloved ibook. Anyway, here are some photos from last night...

Media Blackout...

starting tomorrow, I will be kicking and screaming as I endure a media blackout as well as a blackout from reading of any kind and that includes blogs! I am working my way through "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron. Week 4 requires that I do no reading of any kind and fill my time with other endeavors. SO, see you next Tuesday unless I cheat which is always possible.

Why I love having teenagers...

E.'s Idea...

of how a water bottle should be dressed... who even knew a water bottle needed adornment?

Recent Reading!

I recently found Laini Taylor's first book, "Faeries of Dreamdark: Blackbringer" at my local library much to my delight. Discovering her blog through Sunday Scribblings is what led to me finding out about her first book and reading the first chapter online. Laini is a talented artist and author.

Faeries of Dreamdark
is the tale of Magpie Windwitch. Magpie is a faery whose noble efforts help to rid the world of devils and worse in a time when most of fairy civilization has fallen to frivolity. Through her journey she unearths dark secrets hidden since the beginning of the creation of the earth by it's creators and faces the resulting chaos head on.

I give this book two thumbs up! ;)
