Day 71: Sewing

Yesterday, Eve, Chaya, Jonah and I did handsewing projects. Jonah is making a small pillow but isn't done yet. Chaya is making a coat/cape for her Bratz Cat and also isn't finished. I helped Eve make a cape and a skirt for her dog. She loves this little white dog. She bought him with her own money at Barnes and Noble a year ago. I think the dog looks male but she insists it's a girl.

It is a cute little dog, boy or girl :)

So when are you coming to teach me how to sew! It is a skill I will learn before I am too old to do it!

Okay. When do my boys go to your place to spend Time With a Mother Who is Creative and Does Hands-On Activities? I can't even imagine having the patience to do handcrafts with my children. I should've sent them to a Waldorf school, I guess.

Oh, and you can tell Eve her little furry friend looks exactly like the GIRL dog "Sweetie" that my brother owned when I was a girl. : )

Happy children! I like the little cape. You are a fun Mom! See all the things you have time to do now that you can't move very much? heeh

BTW, how does the ankle feel?

Love,
Susan

Such a cute pair! I would love the little dog, too, and why does she look like a boy, anyway?

You are such a good mom... I can't imagine being as creative and hands on!

How great is that - you hand sew with your kid!
Recently, a friend asked me (ok, begged me and offered to pay... yikes!) for me to teach her 8 y.o. child to embroider.
Huh?
So inspired to read and see you here, I have agreed. Thanks for the inspiration!!
