This is my new devotional book for this year that my bestie, Bridget, gave to me. So far, it's more intellectual than I want to be with God.

I love that line, "more intellectual than I want to be with God". Whoa baby, that's a lot of my Orthodoxy right there. I'm into letting it be and not thinking as hard as I once did as a Presbyterian. "God is a good God who loves mankind". My daily mantra.
You know, Red... that's pretty much where I've always been with God. I would never be able to relax and lean on Him if I had to pick the Bible apart. My husband, otoh, has always been a picker, but he's changing and trying to let go of his old ways. Life is much more peaceful if you let some things be mystery and accept God. I've always been attracted to Orthodoxy, but there are very, very few Orthodox churches around here.
