Friends of ours from college invite us to their family Chinese New Year dinner each year. It's great fun but slightly bittersweet since two friends of ours don't attend it anymore and I miss their presence.

My ankle is feeling *much* better than it did last week. The cast still bothers me at night but I tried an Advil PM to get to sleep last night and that did the trick.
This looks so vibrant and alive. The colors are very rich.
The bittersweet comment made me think, the sadness does make me more conscious of appreciating the moment because we don't know how long we will have to enjoy the people we are with--
Wow. Going from the black and white of the top photo to these was going from one extreme to another. The colors of these stood out even more, I think. Very active photos!
