I made bratwurst tonight too! Only I cooked it ours with green peppers and onions and put them over boiled red potatoes.
I really like the composition of your top shot.

Okay, I'll join the brats club; that's what we had tonight, too. Alas, mine burned while I was...trying to take a good indoor shot with my digital camera!!! LOL
You guys are making me hungry for brats! I've only had them grilled like hot dogs. Will try to be more creative....
Yum! Love the angle in the first one - makes me feel like I'm right in there cooking. You get such great light in your kitchen. I've tried a few food pics and the lighting is all off (w/ and w/out flash).

My food shots always have a warm glow mostly due to my wall color, I think. I actually load them the food shots into photoshop and use the auto color function to get rid of a little bit of the orange... but, these are pretty close to how they were shot.
